Assistant Human Resources Manager

About the role

The Assistant Human Resources Manager supports the daily operations of the HR office, ensuring recruitment, compensation, and training activities run smoothly. This role helps deliver HR services that meet employee needs and comply with relevant laws and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing the recruitment and hiring process, including interviewing, coordinating with external sources, and attending job fairs.
• Support the administration of employee benefits and unemployment claim processes.
• Help coordinate new‑hire orientation and ongoing employee development programs.
• Maintain effective employee communication channels and assist with progressive discipline documentation.
• Perform quality control on candidate selection and ensure compliance with HR standard operating procedures.

Required profile

• Fijian citizenship.
• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of HR or related experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
