Blender Specialist – Remote Contract

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Blender 3D artist to create realistic, challenging tasks that help train AI agents to use professional creative software. Working remotely on an hourly contract, you will design task briefs, record expert demonstrations, and define clear success criteria that serve as both training data and benchmarks for AI models.

Key responsibilities

• Author production‑realistic Blender tasks that reflect studio or client briefs, ensuring outcomes can be objectively verified.
• Record end‑to‑end expert demonstrations using provided capture tools, capturing actions, interface states, and file changes.
• Document each workflow step‑by‑step in clear professional English.
• Define verification and success criteria, including intermediate milestones and common failure paths.
• Produce tasks ranging from single‑tool operations to multi‑step pipelines that may involve external assets.
• Review and quality‑check peers’ submissions for realism, completeness, and accurate rubrics.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of professional experience as a Blender‑focused 3D artist (studio, freelance, or contract).
• Proven proficiency in production‑level Blender workflows: modeling, clean topology, modifiers, UV unwrapping, materials, shading, lighting, and rendering in Cycles or EEVEE.
• Strong troubleshooting instincts for topology, shading, normals, scale, and non‑manifold geometry issues.
• Ability to work on a Windows 11, Ubuntu (X11) or macOS machine capable of running Blender and a screen recorder.
• English proficiency at least B2 with written clarity for detailed workflow documentation.
