Chef de Partie

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team on Denarau Island South, Nadi. In this hands‑on role you will prepare and cook a variety of dishes, maintain high standards of quality and presentation, and support the smooth operation of the food‑and‑beverage service.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, quality and presentation standards.
• Regulate temperatures of ovens, broilers, grills and roasters and monitor food safety logs.
• Pull frozen items, thaw them properly, and ensure correct portioning, arrangement and garnish.
• Prepare cold foods and assist with daily specials, informing service staff of menu changes.
• Maintain cleanliness, follow safety policies and report any hazards or incidents.
• Support kitchen management with hiring, training, scheduling and performance coaching when required.

Required profile

• Certificate or Diploma in Culinary Arts, Hospitality or a related field (advantageous).
• Previous kitchen experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, cleanliness and food presentation.
• Good communication, teamwork and willingness to learn from senior staff.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Physically fit for prolonged standing and lifting up to 25 lb.
