About the role

Radisson Blu Resort on Denarau Island is seeking a motivated Commis Chef to support the culinary team in delivering high‑quality dining experiences for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present food according to menu specifications, recipes, portion control and quality standards.
• Support daily kitchen operations including mise en place, set‑up for restaurant service, banquets, room service and special events.
• Maintain clean, organized and well‑stocked work, cooler and storage areas, ensuring proper food storage and stock levels.
• Assist with food requisitions, stock control and waste minimisation to meet cost and productivity targets.
• Care for kitchen equipment and uphold food safety, hygiene, health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Prior kitchen experience beneficial but not essential; culinary qualification is an advantage.
• Hands‑on, can‑do attitude with a genuine willingness to learn and develop.
• Reliable, punctual and committed to scheduled shifts and team support.
• Passion for hospitality and delivering consistently high standards.
• Ability to multitask, stay organised and work effectively under pressure.
• Flexible to work a rotating roster including early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Legal right to work in Fiji.

• Basic culinary techniques and food preparation.
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
