About the role
The Pacific Community is seeking a senior leader to head its Land Resources Division. The Director will guide scientific advice, capacity‑building programmes and services that support sustainable land use across the Pacific.
Key responsibilities
- Provide expert scientific advice on conservation, development and utilisation of plant genetic resources.
- Lead capacity‑building initiatives for member countries in forest and landscape management.
- Oversee development of resilient agricultural systems and diversification of livelihood strategies.
- Facilitate access to markets and promote ecosystem services that improve land productivity.
- Contribute to food, nutrition security and climate resilience objectives for Pacific peoples.
