EHS Manager

About the role

The Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager will report to the Country Manager and work closely with the Group EHS function to develop, implement and monitor EHS management systems across Neptune Pacific’s operations in Fiji. The role protects the organisation’s most valuable asset – its people – by promoting safe behaviours, coaching stakeholders and ensuring compliance with legislative and corporate requirements. Regular travel to sites across Fiji and occasional international travel are required.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Group EHS function in creating and updating EHS policies, procedures and safe work practices.
• Maintain EHS documentation such as hazard registers, risk assessments, inspection reports, training records and incident logs.
• Assist site management in developing and executing site‑specific safety plans and conduct regular reviews.
• Monitor, analyse and report EHS performance metrics, trends and KPIs to senior leadership.
• Lead internal audits, track corrective actions and ensure timely closure of findings.
• Inspect workplaces, equipment and practices to verify compliance with standards and regulations.
• Identify training needs and deliver EHS training programmes, toolbox talks and inductions.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification or proven experience in environmental health and safety.
• Demonstrated experience in the shipping, logistics or maritime sector is preferred.
• Strong analytical abilities with a data‑driven approach to risk management.
• Excellent communication and coaching skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Willingness to travel frequently across Fiji and occasionally abroad.
