Finance and Administration Assistant – Fiji

About the role

The Finance and Administration Assistant will support the “Capacity Building for Climate Change Act Implementation” project in Fiji. Based at the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MECC) in Suva, the role ensures smooth financial and administrative operations in line with GGGI and MECC protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Process project financial transactions, including payments, reimbursements and budget monitoring.
• Manage procurement activities, prepare purchase orders, and oversee contracting in accordance with internal guidelines.
• Maintain accurate financial and administrative records and prepare regular reports for the project team.
• Liaise with MECC’s Finance Manager and GGGI regional and headquarters finance teams to ensure compliance.
• Provide administrative support to the Project Officer/Implementation Lead, including scheduling, documentation and correspondence.

Required profile

• Highly organized and detail‑oriented professional.
• Experience in finance, accounting or procurement within an international or governmental setting.
• Ability to work collaboratively with both MECC and GGGI staff.
• Strong understanding of financial and administrative policies and procedures.
