Licensed Electrical Technician

About the role

The Licensed Electrical Technician provides on‑site electrical maintenance and support for hotel facilities on Denarau Island South, Nadi. Working closely with other departments, the technician ensures timely resolution of electrical issues and helps keep guest areas safe and operational.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance requests using telecommunications devices and coordinate repairs.
• Schedule and manage major system shutdowns, repairs, or improvements with other departments.
• Maintain purchase order logs, file orders after payment, and verify against packing slips.
• Follow all company safety and security policies, report hazards, and store flammable materials properly.
• Provide courteous guest service, assist individuals with disabilities, and uphold professional appearance.
• Inspect tools, equipment, and machines; perform light manual handling tasks.
• Enter and retrieve work‑order information using computer systems.
• Perform any other reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• Valid Electrical Technician licence issued by the relevant authority.
• Current safety certifications (e.g., electrical safety, lockout/tagout, first aid) are an advantage.
• Certificate, diploma or trade qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology or a related field.
• Eligibility to work in Fiji.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
• Strong organisational and record‑keeping abilities.
• Effective communication and customer‑service skills.
• Basic computer literacy for logging work orders, purchase orders and reports.

Required skills

• Knowledge of electrical systems and maintenance practices.
• Understanding of safety standards such as lockout/tagout.
• Record‑keeping and documentation skills.
• Computer literacy with work‑order or inventory software.
