Maintenance Technician

About the role

FIJI Water is seeking a Maintenance Technician to provide technical and operational support to its production, injection‑molding and water‑systems teams. The role focuses on maintaining equipment performance to achieve an Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) of 85% or higher.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain a wide range of production equipment, including forklifts, blowers/fillers, labelers, shrink wrappers, case erectors, case packers, case sealers, palletizers and stretch wrappers.
• Perform elementary maintenance, adjustments and troubleshooting to resolve operational issues quickly.
• Support the maintenance management process: update performance boards, schedule preventive maintenance, and contribute to recurrence‑prevention planning.
• Escalate complex repairs beyond elementary capabilities and assist reliability technicians as needed.
• Ensure compliance with quality, environmental and safety initiatives across the site.

Required profile

• Successful completion of Year 12.
• Maintenance Fitter and/or Electrical/Electronic qualification, or at least 2 years of related work experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, problem‑solver with a “can‑do” attitude and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Forklift operation.
• Maintenance of production equipment (blower/filler, labeler, shrink wrapper, case erector, case packer, case sealer, palletizer, stretch wrapper).
• Preventive maintenance planning and execution.
• Troubleshooting and elementary mechanical/electrical repairs.
• Electrical/electronic maintenance knowledge.
