Marine Manager

About the role

Laucala Island Resort is looking for an experienced Marine Manager to lead all marine operations on its private island in Fiji. This hands‑on role combines operational oversight, logistics coordination, regulatory compliance, and team leadership within a luxury resort environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily marine operations, including vessel scheduling, maintenance, and crew management.
• Coordinate logistics for guest transfers, supplies, and equipment, ensuring seamless movement to and from the island.
• Prepare barges and crew for Maritime Safety Authority inspections and maintain all required certifications.
• Manage customs and quarantine procedures for incoming and outgoing vessels.
• Ensure compliance with local and international maritime regulations and safety standards.
• Lead and develop the marine team, fostering a culture of safety and excellence.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience managing resort‑based marine operations.
• Tertiary or trade qualification in Marine Operations, Logistics, or a related discipline.
• Proven ability to work in a luxury resort or maritime environment.
• Strong knowledge of logistics, customs, and quarantine procedures.
