Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Coordinator

About the role

Alinea International is seeking a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Coordinator to support the Pasifika WE‑Guardians and EmpowerHER projects across the Pacific. The role is based in Suva, Fiji and involves regular travel to project sites in Fiji, Samoa, Tuvalu, Solomon Islands, Tonga, and Kiribati.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain MEL frameworks and indicators for both projects.
• Design and oversee data collection tools and processes.
• Coordinate field data collection, ensuring quality and timeliness.
• Analyze quantitative and qualitative data and produce regular monitoring reports.
• Facilitate learning workshops and knowledge‑sharing sessions with project teams.
• Ensure compliance with Global Affairs Canada donor reporting requirements.
• Travel to project sites to support field project managers and build local capacity.

Required profile

• Pacific Island citizens or permanent residents are encouraged to apply.
• Excellent written and verbal command of English.
• Relevant experience in monitoring, evaluation and learning within development projects.
• Familiarity with gender‑based violence prevention and climate‑resilience initiatives.
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly to project locations.
• Full‑time availability.
