Painter – Property Maintenance

About the role

The Painter will support the Engineering Department by delivering high‑quality painting, finishing and surface maintenance across the hotel property. Working on walls, ceilings, furniture and fixtures, you will help keep the environment visually appealing and ensure a positive guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces through sanding, stripping, cleaning and applying primers or sealers.
• Apply paints, stains, varnishes and other finishes using brushes, rollers or spray equipment.
• Remove old finishes and repair minor surface imperfections before painting.
• Support preventive maintenance, refurbishment and renovation projects.
• Respond promptly to work orders and manage painting materials, tools and inventory.
• Coordinate with suppliers for paint colors, finishes and related supplies.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas, protect surrounding zones and minimise disruption to hotel operations.
• Follow safety, security and maintenance procedures and report hazards.

Required profile

• Trade Certificate or equivalent qualification in Painting, Building Maintenance or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in painting, decorating or building maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hospitality environment.
• Commitment to safety standards and guest service excellence.

Required skills

• Surface preparation (sanding, stripping, cleaning).
• Paint application using brushes, rollers and spray equipment.
• Use of primers, sealers and various finishes.
• Inventory management of painting supplies and tools.
