Plumber – Property Maintenance

About the role

The Plumber will manage the installation, maintenance, and repair of all plumbing systems and fixtures across the property on Denarau Island South, Nadi, Fiji. This position ensures reliable water supply, drainage, and sanitation while supporting guest comfort and uninterrupted operations.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair leaks, clogged drains, and faulty fixtures to maintain continuous service.
• Install and maintain pipe networks, fittings, valves, sinks, toilets, and related appliances.
• Conduct pressure tests and inspections to detect leaks and verify system functionality.
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, and building codes to plan accurate installations.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance checks on plumbing systems and related equipment.
• Support minor mechanical, electrical, and facility repairs as needed.
• Manage inventory of plumbing materials and tools to ensure availability.
• Collaborate with Engineering and other departments on repairs, upgrades, and projects.
• Follow safety procedures, use PPE, and comply with hazardous material handling guidelines.
• Report safety hazards, system faults, and maintenance needs promptly.
• Respond to plumbing emergencies and assist in property‑wide emergency procedures.
• Address guest maintenance requests quickly while maintaining high service standards.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, installation methods, and repair techniques.
• Ability to quickly identify issues and implement effective corrective actions.
• Good understanding of safety standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Professional communication skills for interacting with guests, team members, and supervisors.
• Team‑oriented mindset and willingness to collaborate across departments.
