Pool Technician

About the role

The Pool Technician ensures that swimming pools, spa pools, water features and related equipment are maintained, operated and repaired to provide a safe, clean and enjoyable environment for guests and associates.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and operate pools, spas, water features, pumps, filters and associated equipment.
• Monitor water quality, chemical levels and pool balance in line with health and safety standards.
• Perform routine cleaning, vacuuming and preventive maintenance of pools and surrounding areas.
• Diagnose and repair pool equipment, plumbing and filtration systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and keep accurate records of inspections, chemical readings and repairs.
• Manage inventory of chemicals, testing supplies, tools and spare parts, and order supplies through approved processes.
• Maintain positive relationships with guests and associates while minimizing disruption to hotel operations.
• Follow safety, security and environmental procedures, including proper handling and storage of pool chemicals.

Required profile

• Ability to inspect, maintain and operate pool and spa equipment.
• Capability to monitor and adjust water quality and chemical balances.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, plumbing and filtration systems.
• Strong record‑keeping and inventory‑management skills.
• Commitment to safety, health regulations and guest service standards.
