Procurement Associate – UNDP Pacific Office

About the role

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is seeking a Procurement Associate to support its multi‑country office in the Pacific. Based in Suva, the role contributes to the implementation of UNDP’s strategic priorities across ten Pacific Island nations, ensuring that goods and services are acquired efficiently, transparently, and in line with UN procurement standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, preparation, and execution of procurement activities for UNDP projects in the Pacific region.
• Prepare procurement documentation, including terms of reference, evaluation criteria, and contracts.
• Coordinate with project teams, vendors, and UNDP’s internal units to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Maintain procurement records, monitor contract performance, and support reporting requirements.
• Ensure compliance with UNDP procurement policies, ethical standards, and donor regulations.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in procurement, preferably within an international organization or development context.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Required skills

• Familiarity with UN procurement guidelines and procedures.
• Knowledge of e‑procurement tools and contract management systems.
