Recreation Manager

About the role

The Recreation Manager supports the Director of Recreation in overseeing the pool and beach areas of a resort in Nadi, Fiji. This full‑time position ensures daily upkeep, cleanliness, and smooth operation of cabana units while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage recreation staff, covering duties in their absence.
• Maintain pool and beach facilities, including daily cleaning, equipment upkeep, and cabana operations.
• Plan, schedule, and execute events, programs, and group activities such as sand painting, bonfires, and team‑building sessions.
• Oversee the children’s program, coordinating activities and procuring necessary supplies.
• Manage relationships with external vendors, including water‑sports and scuba providers.
• Order and control inventory of supplies, tools, and uniforms.
• Provide exemplary customer service, coaching staff to meet guest expectations.
• Conduct HR functions: performance feedback, training coordination, and employee development.

Required profile

• Fijian citizen.
• High school diploma or GED with at least one year of recreation/health‑club experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Health Education, Physical Education, Hotel & Restaurant Management, or a related field.
• Ability to work full‑time on‑site in Nadi.
