Senior Investment Manager

About the role

Matanataki Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Investment Manager to lead the investment team of the TPacific Fund 1. This senior, hands‑on role will oversee the full transaction lifecycle for climate‑resilient, community‑owned businesses across the Pacific.

Key responsibilities

• Originate, evaluate and structure mid‑market growth and SME investment opportunities.
• Lead transactions from screening, commercial and financial analysis, due diligence, valuation, structuring, negotiation, documentation to closing.
• Structure equity investments, including significant minority positions, and assess alternative capital forms such as debt, mezzanine and self‑liquidating instruments.
• Support robust portfolio construction and decision‑making across the fund.
• Serve on the investment committee for investment, divestment and follow‑on decisions.
• Actively manage portfolio companies, working alongside management teams, serving as board member or observer, and driving value creation.
• Support exit planning and execution.

Required profile

• Extensive private‑equity experience with a proven track record of transaction execution.
• Demonstrated ability to work closely with management teams to build and grow businesses.
• Strong analytical, valuation and financial modelling skills.
• Experience structuring equity and alternative capital instruments.
• Ability to contribute to and improve investment processes and mentor junior team members.
