Senior Plumber

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Plumber to join our hotel facilities team in Nadi, Fiji. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the plumbing infrastructure across the property, ensuring reliable service for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Fix minor plumbing problems such as unclogging drains and perform miscellaneous repairs.
• Assemble pipe sections, tubing, and fittings; cut, thread, and bend pipe to required angles.
• Fill pipes or fixtures with water or air to detect and locate leaks.
• Review blueprints, building codes, and specifications; study building plans to plan installations.
• Install and maintain pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances, and fixtures.
• Perform preventative maintenance on tools, equipment, and plumbing systems.
• Follow all company safety policies, report hazards, and maintain a clean, professional appearance.

Required profile

• Fiji citizenship.
• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• At least 2 years of related plumbing experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Stationary Engineer/Boiler Operator License.
• Plumber Certification.

Required skills

• Pipe assembly and installation.
• Leak detection using water or air pressure testing.
• Blueprint and building code interpretation.
• Pipe cutting, threading, and bending.
• Installation of fittings, valves, appliances, and fixtures.
