AML Associate – Customer Service Executive

About the role

The Apex Group is looking for a detail‑oriented AML Associate to join its InvestNow team. Based in Nadi, Fiji, this position combines first‑line anti‑money‑laundering compliance with essential customer‑service responsibilities, offering an excellent entry point into AML compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor customer transactions and account activity to spot unusual or suspicious behaviour.
• Review and investigate AML alerts in line with internal procedures and regulatory obligations.
• Conduct ongoing customer due‑diligence reviews, including identification verification and risk‑assessment updates.
• Request, review, and assess customer documentation to satisfy AML and CDD requirements.
• Maintain accurate and complete customer records in relevant systems.
• Identify and escalate potential money‑laundering, terrorist‑financing, fraud, or other financial‑crime risks.
• Process new account applications promptly and request additional information when needed.
• Support the General Manager and InvestNow team with ad‑hoc tasks.

Required profile

• Some experience in the financial services industry.
• Experience working in AML compliance, especially transaction monitoring or customer due diligence.
• Excellent communication skills and strong organisational ability.
• High attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
• Ownership mindset, accountability and ability to prioritise workload.
• Passion for delivering work that exceeds expectations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with task‑management tools such as Trello.
• Experience using customer‑communication platforms like Intercom.
