Senior Audit Associate

About the role

EY is seeking a Senior Audit Associate to join its audit team in Suva. The role offers the chance to work on diverse client engagements, develop audit expertise and contribute to delivering high‑quality audit services.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute audit engagements, ensuring compliance with EY policies and professional standards.
• Manage multiple audit projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines.
• Assess clients’ operating, regulatory and control environments to identify financial‑statement risks.
• Develop audit strategies, evaluate design and effectiveness of controls, and recommend improvements.
• Lead fieldwork on client sites, liaise with other departments and maintain accurate audit documentation.
• Oversee and mentor junior audit staff, providing guidance, training and performance feedback.
• Support client acceptance processes and ensure independence and compliance requirements are met.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant or equivalent professional accounting background.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to assess risk and control environments.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Effective communication skills and ability to build relationships with clients.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership of audit engagements.
