Fixed‑Term Container Control Officer (6‑Month Contract)

About the role

The Container Control Officer will ensure efficient movement of containers in and out of the Lautoka depot, supporting the Depot Supervisor with administrative tasks during a six‑month fixed‑term contract.

Key responsibilities

• Record all equipment and supplies received, entering units into the depot container control system within 24 hours.
• Manage depot inventory, produce daily/weekly/monthly stock and movement reports for principals.
• Plan and coordinate container bookings, provide timely feedback on export pickups, and conduct yard stocktakes.
• Maintain compliance with safety protocols, conduct HSE audits, and record observations in Enablon.
• Handle workshop material requisitions, follow up on supplier invoices, and manage weekly Fiji Water pickup schedules.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Business or Office Administration.
• 3‑5 years of experience in container or yard management.
• Strong organisational, planning and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using yard management systems and related software.
