IT Support Officer

About the role

We are looking for a reliable and proactive IT Support Officer to deliver day‑to‑day onsite and remote technical assistance across our organisation. The role ensures secure, reliable and uninterrupted IT operations while supporting staff with a wide range of hardware, software and network tools.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑level and advanced support for hardware, software, internet, networks, VOIP, Microsoft Teams, printers, scanners, desktops, laptops and other IT equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve issues promptly to minimise business disruption.
• Perform routine system maintenance, updates, testing and health checks.
• Manage user accounts, system access, permissions and credentials for new and departing employees.
• Monitor security risks, escalates suspected breaches and maintain regular backups.
• Support data recovery, disaster recovery activities and CCTV system availability.
• Maintain accurate IT asset, licence, warranty and device allocation records.
• Assist with employee onboarding, provide guidance on system use and data security.
• Document incidents, produce weekly IT reports and monthly asset registers.
• Coordinate with vendors and provide urgent after‑hours or weekend support when required.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
• At least two years of experience in an IT support or systems‑related role.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, internet and network environments.
• Sound understanding of cybersecurity, access management, backups and data protection.
• Excellent documentation, communication and organisational abilities.
• High level of confidentiality, professionalism and attention to detail.
