Electrical Lead – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term Role

About the role

The Electrical Lead will ensure reliable electrical support for daily production at BAT's Suva manufacturing site. This 12‑month fixed‑term position focuses on maintaining equipment uptime, driving safety, and fostering continuous improvement within the electrical team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide all electrical services required to meet daily production targets.
• Develop, execute, and record the maintenance plan for all electrical components.
• Lead root‑cause problem solving, Stop & Review support, and coach the team in Unified Problem Solving (6W2H).
• Manage EH&S initiatives to uphold high safety and performance standards.
• Support Progressive Maintenance tools and 90‑day plans to reduce losses and build team capability.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3‑5 years of FMCG electrical experience.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities to drive cultural change.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams.
• Commitment to quality and safety standards.

Required skills

• PLC programming/maintenance (Beckhoff, Siemens, Omron).
• Electrical diagram interpretation.
• Microsoft Word proficiency.
• Microsoft PowerPoint proficiency.
• Microsoft Excel proficiency.
