Program Coordinator

About the role

The Ministry of Health & Medical Services is seeking a full‑time Program Coordinator to support health‑related initiatives across Fiji. Based in Suva, you will work on‑site to ensure programs are planned, executed, and monitored in line with timelines and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate health and community programmes, including scheduling meetings, workshops and stakeholder engagements.
• Maintain up‑to‑date programme documentation, track progress against objectives and prepare regular reports for internal and external audiences.
• Liaise with healthcare teams, community partners and other government departments to facilitate smooth delivery and resolve issues.
• Handle enquiries, support customer‑service activities and contribute to continuous improvement of programme processes.

Required profile

• A relevant diploma or degree in public health, health administration, social sciences, management or a related field (preferred).
• Demonstrated experience in program or project management within health, government or community settings.
• Strong organisational, time‑management and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and adapt to evolving priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with basic office software such as word processing, spreadsheets and presentation tools.
