Project Coordinator, Essential Services Package (ESP)

About the role

The Project Coordinator will support the Australia Fiji Health Program (AFHP) within the Fiji Program Support Platform (FPSP). Based in Suva, this 1‑year fixed‑term position (with a possible 2‑year extension) is reserved for Fiji nationals and focuses on delivering health‑sector outcomes aligned with DFAT’s development priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor project activities across health, gender equality, disability inclusion, and climate resilience components.
• Support strategic planning, partnership management, and data‑driven decision‑making for the Ministry of Health and Medical Services.
• Ensure value‑for‑money delivery, utilisation of local supply chains, and compliance with good governance and risk‑management standards.
• Facilitate evidence‑based planning, digital health initiatives, and medical supply‑chain improvements.
• Prepare regular reports on programme outcomes and lessons learned for DFAT and Fiji stakeholders.

Required profile

• Fiji national with the right to work in Fiji.
• One‑year contract with potential extension, based in Suva.
• Experience in project coordination or administration within development or health programmes.
• Understanding of gender equality, disability inclusion, and climate‑resilience frameworks.
