Radiographer / Sonographer

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Radiographer/Sonographer to join our Radiology team at Oceania Hospitals. The successful candidate will perform radiographic and ultrasound examinations, ensuring high‑quality images while delivering compassionate care to a diverse patient population.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients and determine appropriate radiographic or ultrasound techniques.
• Perform a wide range of radiographic examinations and basic ultrasound scans, including Doppler studies.
• Position patients safely and adapt techniques for disabilities, illnesses, or trauma.
• Conduct quality control checks on X‑ray equipment and support audit initiatives.
• Complete required administrative and documentation tasks.

Required profile

• Degree in Diagnostic Imaging Science.
• 3–5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Registered with the Fiji Radiation Board and holder of an APL from the Fiji Society of Medical Imaging Technologists.
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication skills and a patient‑focused attitude.

Required skills

• Diagnostic imaging techniques.
• Basic ultrasound scanning, including Doppler.
• Operation and quality control of X‑ray equipment.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
