About the role

The United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) is recruiting a Project Associate for its NPSA-7 programme in Suva, Fiji. Working under the supervision of the Regional Investment Specialist for the Pacific and alongside programme, investment and operations colleagues, the Associate provides operational, administrative and financial support for UNCDF initiatives implemented in the Pacific region. The vacancy is open to Tier 1 and Tier 2 applicants.

Key responsibilities

• Operational and administrative support: assist procurement plans, travel arrangements and operational schedules; support meetings, workshops and missions in a gender-sensitive way; coordinate travel logistics and supplier registration; maintain filing systems and asset/inventory records.
• Procurement support: prepare documents, liaise with vendors for micro-purchasing, track procurement against plans and manage records in line with UNCDF and UNDP policies.
• Financial and compliance support: track budgets and expenditures, prepare financial reports, process payments and invoices, and flag discrepancies in project balances and cash availability.
• Partner and coordination support: coordinate with implementing partners, consultants, government counterparts and service providers; organize meetings and stakeholder consultations; support onboarding of consultants and project personnel.
