Assistant Manager - Engineering

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Engineering supports the department head in overseeing the hotel’s building, grounds, and engineering operations. This role focuses on safety, security, asset protection and delivering a high‑quality guest experience through effective maintenance management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage building maintenance operations, ensuring timely and cost‑effective completion of work orders and repairs.
• Oversee preventative maintenance programs, asset protection plans and energy‑conservation initiatives.
• Supervise engineering staff and coordinate with contractors on scheduled maintenance, special projects and bids.
• Conduct inspections of guest rooms, public areas and grounds to verify condition and compliance with safety standards.
• Develop, implement and monitor maintenance policies, ensuring OSHA, MSDS and local regulations are followed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Plumbing or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years experience in electrical and mechanical engineering, facilities maintenance or operations management.
