Bar Supervisor

About the role

The Bar Supervisor ensures smooth operation of the bar and dining areas, delivering high‑quality guest experiences on Tokoriki Island. This island‑based role requires working on a rostered stay‑on‑island schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect grooming and attire of staff, rectify deficiencies, and maintain a professional appearance.
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service quality, safety, and guest well‑being.
• Complete work orders for maintenance, conduct inventories of supplies, food, and liquor, and requisition necessary stock.
• Manage cash handling, ensure accuracy of bank funds, and secure cash at all times.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, and motivating employees.
• Enforce company safety policies, report incidents, and complete required safety training.

Required profile

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and communicate clearly with guests and staff.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, lift objects up to 50 lb, and navigate confined or elevated spaces.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information and protecting company assets.

Required skills

• Cash handling and bank reconciliation.
• Inventory management and stock requisition.
• Basic maintenance work order processing.
