Collector

About the role

The Collector will manage a portfolio of DHL customers, ensuring timely payment of outstanding balances and supporting the company’s cash‑flow objectives. You will work closely with internal teams to resolve issues that affect collections while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage an assigned customer portfolio and achieve monthly collection targets and DSO objectives.
• Proactively follow up overdue balances and negotiate payment arrangements.
• Monitor aged debt, identify potential bad debt, and act in line with DHL credit policies.
• Process and reconcile customer payments, resolve unapplied cash, and keep accurate SAP records.
• Liaise with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, Imports and SSC to resolve collection‑related issues.
• Support credit holds, escalations, audits and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or Business Studies (or currently pursuing).
• High attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical, numerical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proactive, customer‑focused mindset and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
