Finance Executive - Accounts Receivable

About the role

The Finance Executive - AR manages the hotel's accounts receivable function, ensuring timely billing, collection, reconciliation and accurate recording of guest, city ledger, credit card and corporate accounts. The role supports cash flow management through follow-up on outstanding balances while maintaining good relationships with internal and external stakeholders. It is a full-time, non-management position based in Nadi, Fiji.

Key responsibilities

• Process and maintain all receivable transactions accurately and on time, and issue invoices to corporate clients, travel agents, event organisers and other debtors.
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts, resolving billing discrepancies and guest account queries.
• Review debtor accounts and credit limits, coordinate with operations on disputed invoices and escalate long-standing balances to management.
• Reconcile credit card settlements, investigate outstanding transactions and liaise with banks, payment gateways and merchant service providers.
• Prepare AR reconciliations, month-end schedules, City Ledger and Guest Ledger reconciliations, and bad debt and doubtful debt provisions where required.
• Produce weekly and monthly AR aging reports, keep records properly filed and support internal and external audits.
• Follow company policies, maintain confidentiality, and uphold professional appearance and guest service standards.

Required profile

• Fiji citizens only.
• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 2 years of related work experience; no supervisory experience required.
• No license or certification needed.
