Finance Executive - Cost Controller

About the role

The Finance Executive - Cost Controller monitors, analyzes and controls the hotel's food, beverage and operating costs to ensure profitability and compliance with company standards. The role supports inventory management, purchasing controls, recipe costing, stock reconciliations and financial reporting across all departments. The position is full-time and non-management.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily, weekly and monthly food, beverage and operating costs, analyze variances, prepare cost reports and recommend savings
• Supervise month-end inventory counts, reconcile physical stock with system balances and track slow-moving items and wastage
• Review purchase orders and receiving documentation, verify supplier pricing and monitor contract pricing
• Maintain recipe costing for all food and beverage outlets, update menu costings and run menu engineering analysis with the Executive Chef and F&B management
• Prepare monthly food and beverage cost reports, assist with budget preparation and forecasting, and prepare month-end reconciliation schedules
• Follow company policies, maintain confidentiality, and comply with quality assurance standards

Required profile

• Fiji citizens only
• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• At least 2 years of related work experience
• No supervisory experience required
