Grounds Guest Service Assistant – Hotel Grounds Maintenance

About the role

The Westin is looking for a Grounds Guest Service Assistant to keep the hotel’s outdoor areas beautiful and safe for guests. You will work on the property’s lawns, gardens, pathways and other exterior features, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform lawn care tasks such as mowing, edging and leaf removal.
• Maintain flower beds, baskets and planters by watering, weeding and trimming.
• Clean, wash and refuel landscaping equipment after each use.
• Empty and dispose of waste from exterior trash bins.
• Care for fountains, planters and other outdoor features, including minor repairs.
• Repair and maintain sidewalks, driveways, pathways and parking areas.
• Operate tractors, trucks and utility vehicles to transport equipment and supplies.
• Monitor grounds regularly to uphold aesthetic standards and respond to weather conditions.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in grounds maintenance or a similar role.
• Legal right to work in Fiji.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual outdoor work in varying conditions.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability and punctuality.
• Safety‑conscious with ability to follow procedures.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Required skills

• Operation of tractors, trucks and other utility vehicles.
• Use of landscaping tools and equipment.
