Housekeeping Team Leader

About the role

The Housekeeping Team Leader oversees the cleanliness and condition of guest rooms and public areas at our resort on Tokoriki Island. You will coordinate daily housekeeping activities, ensure high service standards, and support the team in delivering a welcoming experience for all guests.

Key responsibilities

• Enter the status of rooms cleaned and complete detailed checklists for each area.
• Identify room assignments and the type of cleaning required.
• Inspect guest rooms after cleaning to verify quality and compliance.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and inter‑departmental communications.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and coaching housekeeping staff.
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies, reporting any hazards or incidents.
• Maintain a professional appearance and uphold confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Perform physical tasks such as moving, lifting, and carrying objects up to 55 lb unaided and heavier with assistance.

Required profile

• Ability to lift and carry objects up to 55 lb independently and heavier items with help.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, kneel, and perform repetitive motions throughout a shift.
• Capability to operate a loaded housekeeping cart on uneven surfaces.
• Proficiency in using computers or point‑of‑sale systems for documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures.
