About the role

The role focuses on delivering high‑quality preventative maintenance and cleaning for guest rooms, meeting rooms and public areas at a resort on Tokoriki Island. You will ensure all spaces are ready for guests, safe, and meet the property’s standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks such as flipping mattresses, deep‑cleaning carpets, touch‑up painting, dusting and bathroom cleaning.
• Inspect and maintain appliances, light fixtures, grout, and caulking, ensuring everything is functional and present.
• Carry out minor repairs including tightening loose toilet seats, changing bulbs and patching wall holes.
• Report serious maintenance issues, safety hazards or unusual findings to the supervisor immediately.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies, complete required training and maintain a professional appearance.
• Assist guests according to company standards and support team members to achieve common goals.

Required profile

• High school diploma or tertiary qualification in Cookery or Culinary Arts.
• Minimum 1‑2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen or similar food‑preparation environment.
• Good understanding of basic cooking techniques, food handling and HACCP‑aligned practices.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lb, bending, twisting and reaching overhead.
