Manager Research & Analysis

About the role

The Manager, Research & Analysis, plays a pivotal part in shaping ANZ's risk‑aware strategy. You will lead the research and analysis function to support business targets while ensuring risk is managed across credit, market and operational dimensions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the Research & Analysis process, procedures and reporting to meet business objectives.
• Collaborate with broader business units to ensure comprehensive risk management beyond credit risk.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Produce analytics that clearly articulate key risks, mitigants and commercial drivers.
• Apply industry and client knowledge to deliver value‑add solutions and superior risk analysis.
• Ensure the customer portfolio complies with the well‑managed agenda requirements.

Required profile

• Several years of banking experience with a focus on customer management.
• Tertiary qualification, preferably in Commerce, Business, Accounting or Economics.
• Deep understanding of credit, market and operational risk across customers, products and regions.
• Strong credit assessment skills and ability to present well‑motivated risk assessments.
• Highly developed conceptual thinking and analytical capabilities.
• People‑management experience is an advantage.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and a collaborative team player.
