Manager Research & Analysis

About the role

ANZ is seeking a Manager Research & Analysis to lead the research and risk analysis function for its Pacific division in Suva. The role ensures that analytical processes support business targets and that risk is effectively managed across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the Research & Analysis process, procedures and reporting align with overall business targets.
• Collaborate with broader business units to manage credit, market and operational risk.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Produce analytics that clearly articulate key risks, mitigants and commercial drivers.
• Apply industry and client knowledge to deliver value‑add solutions and superior risk analysis.
• Maintain a well‑managed customer portfolio that meets all regulatory and business requirements.

Required profile

• Several years of banking experience with a focus on customer management.
• Tertiary qualification, preferably in Commerce, Business, Accounting or Economics.
• Deep understanding of credit, market and operational risk across customers, products and countries.
• Strong credit assessment skills and ability to present risk‑based business propositions.
• Highly developed conceptual thinking capabilities.
• People‑management experience is an advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and a collaborative team player.
