Recreation Supervisor

About the role

The Recreation Supervisor creates and manages activity programs for guests, ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and inclusive environment. This role combines administrative tasks, guest interaction, and hands‑on equipment maintenance within a hospitality setting.

Key responsibilities

• Create recreational activity agendas and advertisements using publishing software.
• Conduct inventory of supplies, materials and equipment and report low‑stock items to management.
• Recruit, register and schedule guests for recreation activities.
• Promote a fun, relaxing atmosphere and provide information on facilities and activities.
• Enforce rules and safety regulations, monitor activities and respond to emergencies according to local procedures.
• Assist injured guests until emergency services arrive.
• Clean and maintain recreational equipment and supplies.
• Support management in training, motivating and coaching staff.
• Report accidents, injuries and unsafe conditions; complete required safety training and certifications.
• Process guest orders, collect payments and ensure quality standards are met.
• Use computers and point‑of‑sale systems for transaction and information entry.

Required profile

• Fiji citizenship.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 lb unassisted and heavier items with assistance.
• Willingness to work extended periods standing, walking or sitting.
• Capability to work in narrow, elevated or uneven spaces and to navigate stairs or ramps.

Required skills

• Proficiency with publishing software for creating activity agendas and advertisements.
• Experience using point‑of‑sale (POS) systems and basic computer applications.
