Substitute Teacher – Temporary Position

About the role

This temporary position supports Church College Fiji by providing classroom instruction when a full‑time teacher is absent. The substitute teacher will work with youth, helping them deepen their understanding of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ while maintaining a safe and engaging learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lesson plans prepared by the absent full‑time teacher.
• Facilitate classroom discussions and activities that align with the Church’s educational standards.
• Assist students in fulfilling their roles in the learning process.
• Collaborate with the program administrator to ensure continuity of instruction.
• Participate in any required training sessions.
• Be available on short notice to report for substitute duties as needed.

Required profile

• At least a High School Diploma; tertiary education is preferred.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage a classroom effectively and work well with youth.
• Demonstrates integrity, humility, and alignment with Church standards.
• Legal right to work in Fiji and a current police clearance.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
