Kitchen Attaché

About the role

The Kitchen Attaché supports daily food preparation and cooking operations at Marriott International’s facility in Nadi, Fiji. This part‑time position ensures that all ingredients are ready, meals are prepared to recipe standards, and the kitchen environment remains clean and safe.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing, measuring and mixing.
• Cook foods according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, using ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
• Test and monitor food for proper doneness and quality throughout preparation.
• Set up and break down work stations, and serve food in correct portions.
• Wash, disinfect kitchen areas, tools, knives and equipment; verify appliance and food temperatures.
• Follow all company safety, security and hygiene policies; report any hazards or incidents.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least one year of related food‑service or kitchen experience.
• Open to Fiji citizens only.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift objects up to 25 lb and perform repetitive kitchen tasks.
