Analyst – Control Testing

About the role

ANZ is looking for an Analyst Control Testing to support the Manager Controls Testing Pacific. The role focuses on maintaining strong control practices across Pacific countries, aligning with regulatory and policy requirements, and ensuring accurate documentation in ServiceNow.

Key responsibilities

• Execute control testing activities in line with the IAM Framework and Control Monitoring Procedure.
• Produce high‑quality testing outputs that demonstrate control effectiveness.
• Update ServiceNow (SNOW) promptly with complete data after testing and result finalisation.
• Collaborate with regional teams to develop a Centralised Controls Testing function.
• Maintain governance across testing activities and ensure compliance with divisional and group requirements.
• Assess impact of testing initiatives and communicate requirements across the business.
• Recommend remediation for ineffective controls, re‑test remediated controls, and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of control best practices, regulatory and policy requirements.
• Ability to work closely with 2nd Line Risk, Compliance, BG&C, and control owners across the Pacific.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills to present findings and negotiate control effectiveness.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on governance and risk management.

Required skills

• ServiceNow (SNOW) – experience updating and maintaining records.
