About the role

As an Analyst in Research & Analysis at ANZ’s Pacific Business Unit, you will support credit assessment and risk management for a portfolio of customers in Fiji. You will work closely with Relationship Managers and other teams to deliver insightful analysis that drives safe and sustainable business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Produce timely, accurate counter‑party and industry analysis for an assigned customer portfolio.
• Prepare briefing material for client meetings, contribute insights during discussions and provide follow‑up analysis.
• Structure transactions, draft high‑quality credit papers and clearly articulate risks, mitigants and commercial considerations.
• Maintain portfolio data quality, ensure zero overdue reviews and comply with credit and regulatory requirements.
• Identify early warning signs, escalate risks appropriately and act as a first line of defence.
• Collaborate with Relationship, Risk and Product teams to achieve strong customer outcomes and safe growth.

Required profile

• Proven experience in banking.
• Tertiary qualification, preferably in Commerce, Business, Accounting or Economics.
• Understanding of credit, operational and market risk across customers, products and countries.
• Well‑developed conceptual thinking and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly motivated, self‑directed and a team player.
