Claims Analyst

About the role

Join QBE’s Fiji team as a Claims Analyst, responsible for managing insurance claims across multiple product lines while delivering exceptional service to customers, brokers and internal stakeholders. You will work closely with underwriters and partners to ensure positive outcomes and support the company’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage claims from lodgement through assessment, negotiation and settlement.
• Review claims against policy conditions, delegated authority and regulatory requirements.
• Analyse claims data and provide insights to support business objectives.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with customers, brokers, service providers and internal teams.
• Identify, assess and pursue recoveries where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate claim records and ensure compliance with governance standards.
• Share knowledge and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives within the claims function.

Required profile

• Customer‑focused with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to organise workload, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to explore new technologies, including AI, to improve outcomes.

Required skills

• Experience in insurance or a related financial‑services environment, preferably with claims handling across various lines.
• Strong analytical skills for assessing information and making informed decisions.
