Claims Manager

About the role

Marsh is looking for a Claims Manager to join its Claims Operations team in Suva, Fiji. You will be responsible for managing specialist commercial claims across a range of lines, including Property, Marine, Construction, Directors & Officers, and Professional Indemnity. The role involves providing technical advice, supporting claim resolution, and acting as a trusted advisor to SME and corporate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Handle standard to complex commercial claims with a focus on client advocacy.
• Provide technical advice from first notification through to final settlement while protecting client interests.
• Advise clients and brokers on policy coverage, interpretation, and insurer indemnity disputes.
• Respond to broker and client queries, conduct meetings, and liaise with insurers, claimants, and external providers.
• Manage claims in line with company processes and client service agreements.
• Identify referral opportunities and collaborate with the Advocacy team.
• Prepare routine and ad‑hoc reports and present quarterly or annual reviews.
• Maintain industry networks to stay abreast of changes.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of insurance claims experience, preferably in specialty commercial lines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients, insurers, and external representatives.
• Experience in a client‑focused claims or insurance environment.

Required skills

• ANZIIF qualifications (or equivalent).
