Credit Analyst / Graduate Trainee – Banking & Finance

About the role

Oceania Outsourcing, a Fiji‑based outsourcing firm supporting Australian mortgage brokers, is expanding its team in Suva. The Credit Analyst / Graduate Trainee will assist in processing loan applications from initial submission through settlement, ensuring compliance with Australian banking regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain constant communication with management, staff, and customers to ensure a smooth credit application process.
• Gather and analyse loan applicants’ information, including income, expenses and product suitability.
• Prepare and present Statement of Credit Assistance for Australian brokers.
• Communicate credit decisions and policies to colleagues and support their development.
• Implement and maintain quality‑assurance protocols and meet productivity targets.
• Ensure compliance with Australian laws such as the Privacy Act, NCCP Act, Best Interest Duty, AML/CTF regulations.
• Coordinate product pricing requests and follow‑up with over 80 Australian banks to secure smooth settlements.
• Collaborate closely with the Group Operations Manager and team leaders to keep activities compliant.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or a related field (preferred).
• 0–5 years of work experience, preferably in credit, loan processing or finance.
• Strong analytical, quantitative and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Leadership potential and ability to work under time‑sensitive conditions.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
