Financial Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Financial Accountant to join Tower’s finance team, supporting the Group’s operations across New Zealand and the Pacific. The role will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, provide insight to business leaders and help drive continuous improvement of finance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver month‑end and year‑end financial statements for Pacific entities, maintaining balance‑sheet integrity.
• Produce management reports, forecasts and financial analysis to support decision‑making.
• Partner with finance leaders and business stakeholders to provide trusted advice and insights.
• Ensure compliance with audit, statutory, tax and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks, strengthening internal controls.
• Lead process‑improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reporting quality.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in financial accounting or a similar finance role.
• Degree in Accounting; CPA/CA qualification is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of month‑end/year‑end reporting, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
• Experience preparing management reports, financial analysis and forecasts.
• Understanding of audit, statutory, tax and regulatory reporting, with familiarity of IFRS and multi‑entity environments preferred.
• Proactive, collaborative attitude with excellent stakeholder‑management skills.
