Graduate Engineer – Project Engineering

About the role

The Graduate Engineer supports the planning, coordination and execution of capital and continuous‑improvement projects across FIJI Water's operations. This role provides hands‑on exposure to project engineering, manufacturing processes, utilities and engineering systems while building the technical and leadership capabilities needed for progression to a Project Engineer position.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Project Engineers in planning, executing and monitoring capital and continuous‑improvement projects.
• Support project scoping, cost estimation, scheduling and resource planning activities.
• Coordinate project documentation, drawings, specifications and maintain project records.
• Participate in equipment installations, commissioning, testing and validation activities.
• Prepare engineering drawings, P&IDs and as‑built documentation.
• Liaise with contractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Collect, analyse and report project data to support decision‑making.
• Contribute to root‑cause analysis, continuous‑improvement initiatives and plant shutdown planning.
• Monitor project progress, flag risks or delays and escalate issues to senior engineers.
• Help develop business cases for future capital projects.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics or related field).
• Recent graduate or early‑career professional eager to develop project engineering expertise.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and external contractors.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
