Guest Service Attendant – Housekeeping

About the role

The Guest Service Attendant ensures guest rooms and assigned areas are clean, comfortable, and ready for arrival. Working on a rostered stay‑on‑island schedule, you will uphold brand standards and contribute to a welcoming guest experience at the Sheraton on Tokoriki Island.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and service guest rooms: replace amenities, change linens, make beds, clean bathrooms, remove trash, and restock supplies.
• Maintain room furniture, appliances, walls, and surfaces through dusting, polishing, and stain removal.
• Vacuum carpets, perform floor‑care duties in rooms and hallways, and ensure all appliances function properly.
• Transport and keep a fully stocked housekeeping cart organized and replenished.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and assist other departments as needed.
• Follow safety, security, and company policies, reporting any hazards or equipment issues.

Required profile

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience in a hotel or similar environment preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests and colleagues.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and push/pull housekeeping carts.
• Legal right to work in Fiji.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of cleaning standards, chemicals, and equipment (training provided).
