Licensed Electrical Technician

About the role

The Licensed Electrical Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, inspecting, troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems and equipment across the property, ensuring safety, efficiency and guest comfort.

Key responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain and repair electrical distribution systems, switchboards, transformers, generators, lighting, power outlets and related equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, respond to work orders, manage inventory of spare parts and tools, and keep accurate maintenance records.
• Support refurbishment, renovation and engineering projects, and assist with commissioning of new electrical equipment.
• Coordinate with other departments to minimise disruption to guests and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
• Conduct safety inspections, use appropriate PPE and ensure compliance with electrical regulations and company policies.

Required profile

• Valid Electrical Technician License recognized in Fiji.
• Trade Certificate, Diploma or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Installation.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical maintenance or facilities services.
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays and have working rights in Fiji.

Required skills

• Knowledge of electrical distribution systems, switchboards, generators and lighting systems.
• Experience with motors, control panels and electrical protection devices.
• Proficiency using electrical testing equipment and power tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
