Senior Finance Associate – Fiji

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Senior Finance Associate to support financial operations in Fiji. Reporting to the Chief of Mission and the Head of Resources Management, the role ensures compliance with IOM policies and effective financial management for the South Pacific region.

Key responsibilities

• Provide procedural guidance, supervise and train finance support staff.
• Manage financial resources, monitor budgets, assets, reserves and supplies in line with IOM regulations.
• Prepare annual budget submissions, revisions and financial statements, and support project managers with financial advice.
• Oversee payroll processing, bank reconciliations and disbursements, ensuring proper authorisation and documentation.
• Assist with audit queries, vendor account maintenance and compliance monitoring.

Required profile

• High school diploma with six years relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field with four years experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel; prior experience with SAP is an advantage.
• Attention to detail, ability to organise paperwork methodically and discretion in handling confidential information.
• Experience in international humanitarian or multi‑cultural organisations is desirable.
